John McCormack - Managing Director
John began his career in the London insurance market in 1983 and obtained his ACII qualification in 1987. He has worked in many fields including marine, international reinsurance and large facultative accounts; the majority of his time has been spent on North American business and in particular binding authorities and market facilities. Having previously held the post of managing director at BMS Harris & Dixon, John established Ambris in 2008 with a group of experienced colleagues.
Guy Bullen - Director
Guy began his career at Willis Faber and obtained his ACII qualification in 1984. He was recruited by Harris & Dixon to expand their French construction liability account and since that time he has specialised in the field of professional liability worldwide, developing notable long term relationships with coverholders in France and Australia. Guy joined a group of experienced colleagues to establish Ambris in 2008.
Colin Rowney - Director
Colin began his career in the London insurance market in 1984 with Harris & Dixon, broking East European and Canadian claims. In 1996 he transferred to their North American division to handle the placement of Canadian binding authority business. Colin joined with his longstanding colleagues to establish Ambris in 2008.
Francis Moloney - Director
Francis began his insurance career in 1996 as a junior broker with Byas Mosely. Francis has spent most of his career in the field of US and Canadian property business, placing both large open market accounts and binding authority business. Francis joined Ambris from JLT in 2016.
John began his career in the London insurance market in 1981 with the Prudential. He has worked in many fields on both the Underwriting and Broking side of the business as well as spending some time in Canada. John brings an extensive knowledge of the production, design, placement and management of Binding Authorities from Canada, USA, Europe, LATAM and Australia. John joined Ambris in 2015.
Michael began his career in the London insurance market in 1998 after graduating from the University of Southampton. He initially worked for the Lloyd’s Claims Office handling marine reinsurance claims before moving to Harris & Dixon in 2000 to work in their North American team placing Canadian Binding Authority business. Michael joined with his longstanding colleagues to establish Ambris in 2008 and spends most of his time managing the CGL portfolio as well as specialty classes.
Peter began his career in the London insurance market in 1989 and has worked in many fields including Fine Art, Extended Warranty and Travel. Peter joined the binding authority team at Benfield’s in 2000 and since that time he has spent the majority of his career specialising in property facilities. Peter joined Ambris in 2015.
Daniel joined Ambris in 2016 after graduating from Leeds University. Initially responsible for the handling of data reporting for the broking team, Daniel has progressed to broking duties with particular emphasis on High Value Homeowners and Deductible Buy Down.
Alex began his career in the London Insurance Market in 2015 after graduating from the University of Nottingham. He initially worked for Alsford Page and Gems on the North American team, focussing on Binding Authorities. Alex joined the Ambris North American Property team in early 2019 focusing on US Catastrophe placements including deductible buy-downs and flood. He also assists with the placement of the Binding Authority portfolio.
Vickie joined the Ambris broking team in late 2018 after graduating from Newcastle University. Vickie predominantly works on Canadian commercial business and High Value Homeowners placements and is progressing with her CII qualifications.
Edwina began her career in the London Market in 2014 after relocating from British Columbia. She has worked predominately in placing North American business across all lines of Non-Marine business. Since Edwina joined Ambris, her focus has been placing Canadian casualty risks, both through Binding Authority Agreements and in the open market as well as Forestry Management risks, Contractors Equipment and Marine Cargo.
Erica King Cassell
Erica began her career in the London insurance market in 2010 with Hiscox as an Underwriting Assistant on the Property team. In 2014 she joined Marsh as an Account Manager and broker on the US & International Property team. Erica joined Ambris in 2015 as a Property Broker dealing with Canadian Binding Authority business.
Michael began his insurance career in 1999 working for Marsh reinsurance. In 2004 he joined BMS North American department to concentrate on Canadian and US business and in 2008 joined his longstanding colleagues at Ambris, becoming claims Manager in 2016 to oversee all areas of the claims department.
